Notes
1. **Pear Selection**: Choose a ripe but firm pear for the best texture contrast – juicy and sweet, but not mushy. Varieties like Bartlett, Bosc, or Anjou work wonderfully. 2. **Texture & Flavor**: For an elevated experience, lightly toast the pepitas in a dry pan for 1-2 minutes until fragrant; this brings out their nutty flavor and enhances the crunch. A tiny drizzle of high-quality honey or maple syrup can complement the sweetness of the pear and cottage cheese. 3. **Presentation**: Arrange the pear slices artfully around or on top of the cottage cheese before sprinkling the pepitas for a more appealing visual. A small sprinkle of cinnamon or a very fine grating of lemon zest can also add a subtle aromatic lift.
